transfer photos from pc to ipad

Hi there, anybody kind enough to give me a quick explanation on how to transfer photos from my pc to my ipad??!?

Drag them over to the photos tab in iTunes, sync your iPad. I hate iTunes.

[Hasty]

I use the Photo Transfer app and just drag and drop from my desktop through either chrome or safari.

The photo tab in iTunes will no doubt be changing next week with wireless syncing.
