My touch screen assumes a repeated touch that does not exist, always in the same spot.

What can I do?

Does the iocation of this spot remain stationary even when rotating the screen from portrait to landscape mode? Does restarting the iPad make any difference?
If this spot is consistently in the same location, you may have a defective touch screen that's registering false touches at that one spot. This would require replacement of the screen. To confirm the diagnosis of a defective screen, a Genius Bar appointment at an Apple Store would be necessary, they'd run a full diagnostic of the iPad to pinpoint the cause of the problem.
