Total Newbie!

Hello, I have just joined this forum after my partner decided she needed an iPad 2, I am very experienced in PC computing, having been involved with home computers since the 1980s, but I am a complete novice as far as Apple products are concerned!
I found this forum by chance while trying to find how to sych our IE favourites with the bookmarks on the iPad, and what do you know? I found the answer here straight away! I decided then that I need to join here in order to find out more about the iPad, and hopefully get help if I need it from experienced posters.
I look forward to an interesting and useful time here
