IGN has published a fantastic Top Ten Free iPad Games list today. Some of these look really cool, especially the Air Hockey one, and they're free of course, so you've got nothing to lose by giving any and/or all of them a go:

  • Escape - Norm's World XL - A puzzle game set in a minimalist world where the aim is to clear the level by landing on all the circles.
  • Tap Tap Radiation - tap the discs as the orbs fly into them (pictured).
  • Bub - Wider - Looks very soothing! Control a floating bubble by tilting the iPad, while trying to capture items on the screen.
  • Frotz - Text-based adventures! Yes, you read that right! Talk about the good old days of gaming. Includes ZORK and 25 others.
  • Enjoy Sudoku Daily Free - Seven new free games every 24 hours.
  • Harbor Master HD - A maritime version of Flight Control. Dock boats according to what sort of cargo they have.
  • Compression -A Match 4 game - 'nuff said really, you either love them or hate them.
  • Air Hockey - The two-player game is ideal for five minutes of fun every once in a while, apparently.
  • Aurora Feint 3 - "Puzzle Quest-lite", says IGN.
  • Chess.com - A classic! Has an excellent computer opponent.

You can view the complete Top Ten here.

Ya know. Are you even allowed to advertise like this? Seems you only do that. I could be wrong....

I thought it was helpful, Maura is in the news team so that's all that's being done, informing people of apps available. Oh, and Technically speaking, it's not advertising. All advertising is paid for.
