Syncing photos

Hi. I am new to the iPad Forum having purchased my iPad 2 earlier this year.

Using iTunes I have synced photos from a folder on my PC to my iPad but when I go to sync another folder the first one disappears or rather the photos are replaced with the ones from the second folder. I created new albums on the iPad and copied photos into them but they still disappeared when I tried to sync another folder. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

With synced picture folders you can select more than one. Also, you cannot add to or remove from them AFAIK. You should create separate albums for pictures taken/created on your iPad. If your intention is to then get the new pictures back to your PC, you should use the old camera method. The iPad will show as a "camera" drive with a DCIM folder so you can drag and drop the pics from your iPad's camera roll to your PC folders.

Thanks for that. Couldn't seem to select more than one folder but I will try again.

Thanks for that. I have created a folder on my PC just for syncing with the iPad and copied the folders, containing the photos I wanted on the iPad, into it and it worked, I now have several albums on the iPad. I would have thought though, that if I synced one folder with the iPad I would then be able to sync another one with a different name without loosing the first but this does not appear to be the case. Anyway, I have it sorted now, thanks again.
