Suddenly many of my apps won’t open/crash immediately

I hope someone here can help. Today suddenly several apps on my iPad (2024 M5, running iOS26) will crash immediately when I try to open them. I can use Safari, ebooks and Spotify, but apps like Audible, Kindle, Netflix, Forest and MyScript (which has all my notes!) won’t open. What could be going on? I tried rebooting and even doing a general reset, but that hasn’t helped.

Given the symptoms I would have expected the reboot to do the trick. Nothing else comes to mind. I recommend contacting Apple Tech Support. You can do that with the Apple Support app, or on their site. If you have an Apple Store nearby, you could set up an appointment to have the iPad checked out. The diagnostic is free.
