Speech to text

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can advise me on the best text to speech for the ipad 2. I need something that will do this for documents in pages (I think that is the only way to do documents?) I am deciding whether to buy my son's used ipad 2 or whether there is a reason I should spring for the new ipad. Though I am not sure if on the new one, Siri works for documents? I am told maybe Dragon for speech to text. Can someone tell me if this is my best option and if it would work for documents? Thanks!

Dragon Dictation is a GREAT app for speech to text. It is very accurate and gets better the more you use it. However, you asked for text to speech and I'm not really sure about those apps. Try Googling or search the iTunes store.
