You have the exact setup I will have soon. I've already got tethering working on my Droid but still waiting for my iPad to use it :)

Awesome setup though gentlefury!

Did you use bluetooth with Pda Net, rooting or other way to connect with the Droid? I have Droid and Ipad now too. Thanks for any tips.

Yep, I'd love to do this from the Nexus One. Please send a link or instructions or just a rough hint as of how to do this. It's not a physical tether, but rather something wireless, correct?

I'd prefer to not root or jailbreak, but am always up for experimentation if necesary.

I have been thinking about purchasing a Nexus One for this exact reason and so I can switch back and forth from the iPhone. Please let me know once you get this working!

Has anyone successfully paired thru Btooth their Ipad with Droid, Nexus 1 or other phone, preferably Android? Only tried once and Droid and Ipad didn't find each other.

Haven't tried to pair it with the Nexus One, but only because I had no reason to. Now that there is a possibility of tethering, I'll test it tonight, and probably root and all that crap to get it working till the sprint EVO comes out.

Very cool!

I have a crackberry and am looking for my next phone as my service agreement ended last month. I really planned on an iPhone but without tethering I may be forced to a droid. I don't really want to hack anything as i am just not that savvy with software apps so I am in a little bit of a quandary.

I don't know how many people out there are like me, but i really like technology, but a lot of it is just beyond my understanding.

It's not that it's that hard, Ghuda, the problem is that the sites explaining these things tend to be written by anti social geeks who have never left the house and have no communication skills. They can't write in english, only in technogeek, so that only other people who know what they're already doing can understand it.

Tried a couple places to root my Nexus One thus far, and both have hit snags. Followed word for word, and it was reasonably easy, but to no avail. Probably missing something simple that they didn't bother to include. I'll try again later in the week when I have time.

Come on, Sprint just release the EVO already so we dont have to bother with this crap.
