Yesterday I changed my e mail password (comcast) and changed it on my iPad. I receive mail but can't send. Everything in settings is the same.

Check carefully - are you using SSL in the SMTP settings in 'Settings', 'Mail, Contacts, Calendar', 'Accounts'? If so, there's a password option there...
