Sendding ipad to China is it safe??

I wonder something If I sending iPad to china is it safe?
I mean my iPad will steal or loss?

You can send it FedEx; then it should be OK; you'd be able to insure it and track the delivery. But - if it's being imported - remember they'll be taxes and import duty to pay. Since iPads are made in China, though, I'm trying to understand what is the logic behind sending one there?
