Security for iPad Safari?

Hi, I read an article on Macworld website indicating that Safari security is at risk from recent Digital Certificate thefts.
Does anyone know if this is the case for iPad(1) Safari ?

I don't seem to have any luck with the directions for Safari settings for rejecting fraudulent Certificates. The steps given must be for a Mac not iPad.
