I normally keep my screen brightness on the minimum setting. When I turn the iPad on in he morning in a darkened room I notice flicker at the button end of the screen when it is held in portrait mode. I haven't tried changing screen orientation to see if it happens at both ends of the screen and I just notice it on the right side because if the angle I hold the iPad at with my left hand. If I run the screen brightness all the way up - the only way I have tried it - and back down to the minimum setting the flicker goes away. Has anyone else noticed similar behavior?
