Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Could you maybe have privacy settings turned on in Safari? I understand that, when you do have them on, the top section of Safari turns black.

So, open your Settings app, and go to Safari on the left side. There's a block titled "Privacy" and in there is a line titled "Private Browsing." If it's on, try turning it off and see if your black goes away.

Let us know how you get on - or if privacy was already off (in which case, it's not privacy making your Safari black). Good luck.

Marilyn

P.S. I deleted another thread you had started about this issue. Not only does it mess up the "conversation," in that it makes it hard to follow, it's against our forum rules. So, please, for this question/concern, only post here. Thanks.

You were also told this by me, via PM.
