Restart/Continue Software Update downloads...?

Hi there, my internet connection sometimes gives me trouble, and I can then not download any Soware Updates (approx 666Mb) as I always have to start from 0%.

Is there any way in which Software Updates can be set to download in a restartable mode.

If I remember right (and I may not) if you use the download only option then the download can be viewed in the Download list (shows up in the left column only when there are downloads in progress). There you can stop, pause, and restart downloads. When a download gets stopped by the system for some reason it can (usually) be restarted from there.
