Is there a way to reduce the file size of photos taken on ipad for the purposes of e-mailing. Quite often when requiring to e-mail photos I get a error report that the file size of photo is too large.

When you email a photo, tap here:

You'll get several options for the image size:

Hope that helps.

Hello - in addition to Johanna's excellent post, and that choice is quick unless you want more manipulation over your images (cropping, resizing, color adjustments, addition of text, etc.)?

I use two programs on my iPad for those purposes: 1) Photogene (review HERE); and 2) Photoshop Touch (review HERE) - both available in the App Store (check there for pricing).

Attached are two screen captures from my iPad w/ each program opened (Photogene, left - PS Touch, right) - notice the arrows which point to the pertinent selections in each app to permit resizing (and many other photo adjustments and manipulations) - good luck! Dave :)
