Redownload in-app purchases?

If I setup a new iPad, reinstall previously purchased apps, do I get charged again for in-app purchases when I download them again?

I had bought the mighty eagle in Angry Birds, but after doing a fresh setup, it now asks me to pay for it again. Will it charge me again, or does it just say 'Already purchased. Downloading" as it does for apps?

You can download for free again, yes. I think it does say pay for it again, but then after it will say "you already have this" something like that!

I panicked once for exactly the same thing! But it finally realizes that we did pay for it already.

I hope I am right!

You were right, it shows a popup "You have already purchased this item. Tap OK to download".
