Problems getting Numbers file back from iCloud

We are using iPads to do some field work. We created several spreadsheets in excel and then opened them on my iMac (at home) in Numbers. We then setup iCloud accounts for 12 iPads and populated the clouds with the files. Once we were on site, we'd enter information into the numbers files.

Now that everyone is back in the office, some (not all) of the Numbers files on iCloud won't download, print or email as anything (Numbers File, Excel File, PDF).

Has anyone experienced anything like this? What did you do if you did?

Cheers!

Never seen it.

Was it possible that some of your users were updating the same files at the same time. iCloud is not an enterprise solution and would not know to lock a file from interference when someone else is using it. That could easily cause corruption. Also have each of your iPad users open Numbers again, and open each document. With a little luck they will re-sync with iCloud and correct the document. Or they won't open on the iPads either, which will tell you the files are probably beyond recovery.

Or have them email them to you, bypassing iCloud all together for the moment.

For your use I think Box.com would be a better solution. You can use the WebDav option in the iWorks apps for uploading and downloading files. Set up one folder with templates for them to download, and another (or several) where they can upload the completed forms.
