Mine seems to be about the same. Has anything else changed on your iPad settings wise or whatever? Just curious.

I've had the same problem as well, but more so with my iPhone 4 than iPad. It doesn't come anywhere close to how it did prior to iOS 6. Woke up the other day at 7:30 and unplugged the iPhone at 100%. Sent 3 texts and put the iPhone down. Went back to bed ( I was sick) and 4 hours later the battery was at 23%????? What the heck? Hadn't used it at all! Is there some new settings in iOS 6 I should be looking at or changing? Brightness is under half.... Most location services turned off..... Not thrilled right now. Hope there is something I'm missing. ( iPad just went from 83% to 77% while typing this!?!? Maybe it is affecting my iPad 3 as well)

Something is definitely wrong here. There must be something in there. Are you using GPS or BT? I don't have such a problem on either my 4S or 2012 iPad.

Not that I know of....location services are off ( except find my iPhone) and bt is off. May try a restore in iTunes as was suggested in another thread. Maybe my iPhone 4 is the problem vs IOS 6.

Do you have mail set to download manually? Any notifications? Just run through all settings to be sure nothing new has been turned on.

Yes email is set to manual....I do have some notifications on, but I get very few of those a day. I've been looking for some strange settings but nothing yet. I'm probably missing something really obvious! I let the battery drain empty and did a full overnight charge. Battery life has been somewhat better since. I'm at 10% battery with 2 hours 46 minute usage right now after a full overnight charge.....very frustrating.

Nothing changed nor anything new. It was the same iPad 3 with the same applications except it used to last all day with one charge (I am a heavy user from surfing web to doing my work related activities) but since the IOS upgrade, my battery is drained by mid-day and have to recharge in order for it to last till I retire at night.

I don't think it is normal. I myself is an engineer and consider myself very knowledgeable in this kind of stuff but blaming adding new applications will render the power to only last half of what it used to be is inexcusable to me. I love my iPad no less than anybody on this board but if Apple indeed screw up, I expect them to fix it ASAP.

I have noticed worse battery as well. I notice brightness is much brighter. I lower it but it seems to stay to bright anyway meaning its gets brighter if I close the cover and reopen...

My battery life sucks sine installing 6. For a while I also could not use the apps store. In fact, I have stopped using ipad to read and went back to a kindle. I have everything turned off .. No notifications, nothing. Battery life is still sad at best.

Is there anything I can do other than moving to a android tablet?

You can certainly contact Apple and explain the problem. Worst case, you can get a new battery which isn't particularly expensive and will take care of the problem. How bad is battery usage on your device?

Strange. I use IOS6 and have no problems.

Since my last full charge I have used mine for over 4 hours, with over 13 hours on standby and have 76% battery life left.

You could run down the battery to about 1% and then do a full charge.

Also how many closed apps are still running (double press home button). Although people say non-running apps don't use battery this is not true. Press and hold, then press the red X to close them completely.

Good luck.
