Photo Delete doesn't work

Can't delete photos from iPad2...
I can select photos, and the red Delete icon shows up, but doesn't work.
Email button does work

Hello both of you in the first two posts - welcome to the forum!

Please provide specifics, i.e. I'm assuming that you mean from the native Photo App of the iPad - correct?

If so, where are you trying to delete the photos, e.g from the Camera Roll or in the Albums? Images sent to the Camera Roll can usually be deleted from the iPad but those sync from iTunes need to be removed via computer options - there are many considerations, so additional input would help us all - thanks!
