I just Pre-Ordered an AR.Drone 2.0
It comes out May 1st according to Amazon.

Nice, I saw a demonstration of this on TV, it looks pretty good.......if only I could think of a good use for it, for myself!

Hi Mike,
Yes the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 is actually a lot of fun. Especially for a novice RC flyer such as myself.
One of the many cool things about the AR Drone 2.0 and also with the original AR Drone, is that they practically fly themselves, all we have to do is direct the flight path.
The AR Drone 2.0 is definitely a little more sophisticated than the original AR Drone, and now comes equipped with the 720p hd camera onboard.

But again, there are way more elaborate hd mini cameras one can purchase. As an example the Replay XD 1080.

But for anyone who has a little more RC flying experience and skill level, perhaps they might prefer to take a look at a much more complicated quadrocopter model.
The models here are really quite amazing, and you are actually flying these much like a regular RC helicopter.

Have a look at the video and notice that the "pilot" is using a regular RC Transmitter to fly this drone.
& they are only slightly more expensive than the Parrot AR Drones go for.

Of course if you are a professional, in need of a much more expensive platform for video/photography needs, there are some very pricey models, which can range in price from several hundreds to as much as $30,000 USD.
