Office2 HD question

I just bought the O2 HD app, and I can't figure out how to open a doc. I'm at the screen with the log and a note that says no files opened. The instructions say to select the "+" sign in the upper right, but there is no "+" sign. Am I missing something?

Do you not have the plus sign shown?

The splash screen (with big logo) should have an 'open' button on the top left. Mine does.
