no volumn on FaceTime alert but sounds everywhere else!

Where I am called on FaceTime there is no sound. I have No sound and
mute is not on other alerts make sounds. any suggestions please?

This happened to me once. Apparently volume and alert sounds use separate volume controls.

Go to settings > sounds and see if your volume under ringer is not low

Thanks but not the solution. This is getting me so cross not as the ringtones are al silent!
