Newbie checking in

I'm new to Apple and the iPad (unless you count the ipods bought for the kids). I've been watching this product and drooling over them every time I travel - it always seems that the person beside me on the plane has an iPad.

Well I finally decided to put my toe in the water and ordered a refurbished 16Gb iPad from Apple today. Part of me wants to just find out if I will use the device more than a netbook, and part of me realizes that I will have to arm-wrestle my 12 year old daughter for control of the iPad.......so for that reason I bought the refurbished gen 1.

Looking forward to my new toy!

Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
