Newb Facetime Questions

Hi all, just bought the ipad 3, which is my first ipad. Really like it!!

Questions regarding facetime that I was hoping you guys/gals could explain for me...

My father has an Iphone. So in my facetime contacts on my ipad, I enter his info, including his email address and phone number. If I tap his email address, the facetime connects to his Iphone (if he is within a wifi connection at home).
He is thinking of getting an ipad himself.
OK, so my question is, if he gets an ipad, how do I connect with him via facetime on his -ipad- as opposed to his iphone? What determines which device my facetime will try to connect to, since he'll still just have one email address??

Thanks!!

I've never thought of this, but I would say it will alert you on both and then you select which to answer. I'm sure other members could try this. Hopefully we'll hear from someone.

I had the Ipad2 since last year and got the new Ipad on first day. since i have the same address on facetime on both ipads, when we get a call, they both ring. so your father can just answer the one he wants to use.

Thank you for answering, the OP will be pleased.

Hi Gibson-I had an iPad and an iPod. What I did was to add another email on my iPod. That way, I could lend it to my mom so we could FaceTime each other.

See the picture. Go to iPad settings/FaceTime. Add email...

My fact time icon has disappeared from my apps screen. How do I get it back

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

FaceTime is a native app on the iPad so can't be deleted, but have you enabled restrictions at all. Settings - General - Restrictions. Let us know if this is where it is.

Please do not post twice on an issue, it causes confusion and is against Forum Rules, your other post has now been deleted.

I have an icon lost in transit, too. Restrictions are off on my iPad2. I know I can access it from the search page, but I'm greedy, and want my icon back!

Have you put it into a folder? That can happen very easily when you are moving things around.

I have an iPhone and iPad and so does my friend. When I FaceTime him, I choose to FaceTime his email (iPad) or his phone number (iPhone).
