Hello folks. I have recently purchased an IP3 and am now wondering why I never bought either of the earlier versions, I can't seem to put it down:).

it was bought mainly for photo work with the intention of having a handy sized portable editing device and after reading a number of reviews eventually downloaded snapseed.

This was however done without checking out the snapseed help which appears to belacking any sort of search function. Wondered therefore whether any other iPad users that have installed this app have been able to find out how to correct redeye. its such a basic photo editing function I assume it must be there but would appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction

Nope. No redeye tool in Snapseed. Though if the eyes are big enough you could probably use the Selective Adjust tool, shrunk to minimum size, and combine desaturation and brightness to get a decent result.

There really isn't any one tool on the iPad that does it all. The tendency is to get several specialized tools and use them as needed. The closest to a do it all tool would probably be Photoshop Touch. Good reviews, but I haven't tried it myself, yet. I'm not certain if it has a redeye tool, so research it if that's your main goal.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions guys, much appreciated. If someone else comes along asking the same question though I found that you can actually fix redeye using the edit function in the phone stream section of the IPad so I can fix before I import

Good catch. I didn't think of that. Some people have been less than happy with the redeye too in Photos. I find it works satisfactorily about half the time. I've never found a tool that worked every time (in auto). That's why it's good to have something that will let you go in and tweak the pixels individually.
