New user to IPAD, still learning

I am a 77 year old geezer who was converted to a desktop MAC a couple of years ago from using PC's. I received my IPAD as a gift from my family and I am still a beginner. Don't have an IPOD. I am presently only using free Apps. Books, Photos, ICAL, etc. Gradually reading an IPAD user guide.
