As a new ipad owner, I welcome the opportunity to learn from all the expertise more experienced ipadders have.

My first question is: why won't my ipad recognize my wifi and how do I fix that problem?

Have you set "hidden" in your WiFi? If so, you'll need to manually add a connection.

Had a similar problem. Turned out the security settings were different between iPad and my wifi router.
