New member with a projection question

Good morning everyone!

I work at a college and would like to use my iPad in the classroom. I have a VGA dongle for it. It seems that the iPad does not have a built in capacity to connect to a projector or other display device. It seems that projection is a capability built into an app. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? TIA. Dave

I am not sure I would phrase it like that. The projection capacity is in the ipad, but the app has to specficically have it on.
