New member to IPAD Forums

Hello,

I still consider myself an Ipad newbee though I have owned my Ipad 2 for a year. I like my Ipad 2, but I'm not really in love with it. I am a user that would like to get a way from my multi pound computer boat anchor. I'm not a gamer, am frequently in locations without WiFi, such as my office where wifi is considered a security threat. My biggest drawback to the Ipad is its inability to accept or distribute documents and files from a separate memory device, other than pictures and movies. In the my part of the government dropbox is not an option, it is a security threat to the network. When I go to trade shows and side meetings many times presentations are available on USB drives. If only I could access documents via memory devices then I would be very happy with the Ipad. As it is, I am looking to go to an android based system to have data access. The price will be the reliability and quality of the apple product.

If anyone can help me with my problem I would be very appreciative.

You might want to look at the CloudFTP to allow you to share files by USB, check out this thread for details http://www.ipadforums.net/ipad-connect/75570-cloudftp.html
