The only reason to fully run down an iDevice battery and recharge to 100% is to recalibrate the battery metering program that tells you how full or empty the battery is.
The battery itself could care less.

Read Gabriel's reply in this thread posted earlier. He posted a link to Apple's website regarding draining the battery. Draining the battery is to recalibrate the battery meter. NOT to condition the battery.

Fully understand the process my friend and never stated otherwise! Now I'm off this thread as it's getting ugly!
