Losing calendar invitations

When I receive an invitation from someone via emai from their outlook program (like my wife from her PC) I can accept the invitaion without any problems. But when I delete the invitation email, the calendar event disappears even though it was previously in my calendar app (the app that comes standard on the iPad). Is this a glitch, or am I missing something here. I like to keep my inbox as clean as possible and have even tried creating a sub folder called "calendar" but when I move thing there, they still disappear from my calendar.

I am using a gmail account, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance for your input and help.

Thanks.

Do you have your gmail email account set up to synchronise calendar events between the iPad and your Gmail account? Try turning this off if it's set and see if that improves the situation.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad
