List of apps on PC for my Ipas whited out

Have ipad 2, wifi, 16gb, PC Vista.

All apps on PC when connected to ipad are whited out.

Also cant create apps store icon on ipas as well

Any ideas would be helpful

Do the other menu items (Summary, Info, etc.) show up when you click on them? Do you have Sync Apps checked? Are you syncing with the PC or iCloud?
