Jailbreaking questions

Hello, I've just got my iPad today and I have few questions about jailbreaking on iPad.

I've got iPhone 3g jailbroken, but for the ipad if you jailbreak it, do you lose the warranty and you won't get it back when you restore or is it possible?

no different than the jailbroken 3g iphone. why would you think Apple would have a different policy for one over the other ?

Let me rephrase that, is it possible for it to detect them that I've Jb'd it?
Wasn't really keen on my iPhone 3g jailbreak, as I jailbroken it after the warranty ran out
