Apple and Facebook seem to have cooked up a new partnership. Starting this week, users of the popular social media site, who have a friend’s or a family member’s birthday coming, can stop stressing about what present to buy. Facebook has your back covered in this department, as well. The social media giant has just announced that its Gift section has just been updated adding iTunes gift cards.

Gift shoppers can choose to send iTunes credit through Facebook to the birthday boy/girl with a cool birthday card attached along with a couple of song or movie suggestions. Apps can be attached to the present, as well. Such a gift will be the delight of music lovers everywhere.
The prices are quite decent, considering you are actually sending a gift. The cards come for $10, $15, $25 or $50 and can be ordered through the Facebook Gifts section.

Compare this to similar offers. For example, Sam’s club is offering four $25 iTunes gift cards for the price of $79.88 while the bargain site Best Buy offers a 15% discount for all cards.
The partnership will surely increase the iTunes Store’s popularity, while Facebook will get a piece of the $260 revenue that constitutes the iTunes Store gift business. Apple and Facebook have been recently getting closer, since iOS 6 and OS X Mountain Lion have received a tighter Facebook update.
