itunes & airtunes with ipad

I was surprised to find that I could not use itunes on my ipad to stream music using my airport express. Apparently this can only be done on my laptop. Anyone know of a workaround?

Can you use the remote app and then run your itunes from your laptop?

It does work with Remote,

a litte complicated for nothing but it is the only way for now, I guess

You can stream to your Airport Express with the ipod app on your ipad to play music that resides on your ipad. Just select the speakers drop down that is to the immediate right of the volume bar.
