Is there a way to alphabetically sort the safari bookmarks?

I can't figure out how to do this.

No, but you can manually sort them. When in the bookmark list, click Edit, then hold and drag the bookmark up/down using the lines on the right side of the bookmark.

When finished, click Done.

This is still a problem years later. And how about putting in arrow keys to move the cursor around a lot easier????
