iPhoto journals back from the computer

I've just made a holiday journal on my iPads iPhoto, but it's taking up 4GB of space- what I'd like to do is to move it into my computer. I see how to do that fine (in iTunes/my iPad/apps-filesharing and you get a FOLDER named with the journals name) and I have. But suppose I now delete it from my iPad, to clear space.
How can I get it back onto my iPad from my computer? I see in iTunes/my iPad/apps- file sharing, in addition to the 'save to...' button that takes the journal from the iPad to the computer, there's an 'add...' button. However, this button only lets me add FILES to the iPad and not the FOLDER that I got in the first place.
I hope this makes sense to someone! Thanks for any advice!

As far as I can tell you can only export journals or publish them. There is no way to import them back into iPhotos.

I've also noticed that if you delete the album you used to create the journal they become un-editable. At least that's what I'm guessing made my two test journals un-editable.

You can recover the pictures themselves, by visiting the journal in a web browser. Tap and hold in Safari (as usual) to save a photo. You get a download option in the play bar on a computer. I'm not certain these will be the originals, since I don't know exactly how they are exported.

Journals is an interesting feature in iPhoto, but I don't think it's ready as a primary means of sharing photos. It is certainly not a means of storing them online.

I'd only use it as a quick way to share short batches of photos until/if Apple improves the service. In the mean time you're probably better off sticking to one of the big photo sharing service/sites.
