iPad2, - Verizon vs. ATT

I am planning to upgrade my ATT iPhone to the 5g or whatever they will be called when they come out and to get an iPad 2 3G along with that, hopefully in June. My question is: which iPhones and iPad should I get: Verizon or ATT? I had an ATT iPhone for years and I am happy with it except for a few low reception spots in DC. My home WiFi is through Verizon FIOS. I will appreciate any input comparing Verizon with ATT for the iPhone/iPad bundle.
