Ipad Video Converting

Good Morning All

I have just started converting vidoes for on my Ipad 2, Apple TV 2 and on my TV through the Apple HDMI video cable.

I converted a DVD rip yesterday using 'Handbrake' software to the pre-set Apple TV 2 settings within in the software, which worked great for watching the video on my Ipad and on Apple TV, but when i played it through the apple cable and HDMI on the TV up stairs it looked terrible.

I then tried a pre-converted to 720p video i downloaded from Edited by Moderator - discussion of piracy and pirate sites is not permitted, please read our forum rules, and it worked well on all three.

Any ideas?

What software do people use for converting videos?

What software do people use for converting from blue ray?

Just use the iPad setting in handbrake, I use this all the time for my hdmi viewingon my wide screen tv
