If my apps where synced to itunes does my photos sync too?

Yes, if they have been selected for syncing. With your device connected, go into iTunes and click on your device, and check what's being synced. You have options to sync 'ALL' for each section..ie. films, music, apps, photos, etc etc. or you can select individually. (Only items selected gets synced)
