What are your thoughts on pricing for the new device? I'm planning on getting one no matter what the cost is but I (and my wallet) really hope its going to be under $800 :)

I'm pretty torn on this. Logic says it should cost more then an unlocked iPhone as the build price should be more expensive.

They may take an approach like the consoles and hope to make it back up on software purchases (app store, games, etc) but I wouldn't count on that.

However, if it's too expensive this thing won't sell except to die-hard fanatics. So, I would say they need to keep it in the $750 or below price range.

Well i know apple was trying to make this a more... affordable device. But comparing that to it's laptops, even if you cut a decent laptop in half your still at around 800-1000. So i'm going to say around 799 or 899. Even though i just polled at 801+ :)

I can see it at 599.99. IMO is going to be somewhere around the price of a ipod or a laptop. Ranging to 500-700.

I prefer the price range $300 -$500.. However, like rudeman said, the price will fall with time. This is common for every digital devices...:)

Money or not Money

even i vote +801, but as many member here i guess the price will be lower than 700 and surely less with time and competition ....
