If I bought a regular IPAD and now, i want to set it up on the AT&T 3G network. But, I do not want to tether. Can it be done? Or do I need to buy a unit from AT&T 3G model. Thanks!

If you have a WiFi only model and you don't want to tether, you'll need to get a 3G iPad.. TheWiFi only model has no provisions to install a SIM card and is missing all the internal circuitry required to receive and transmit a 3G signal.
