iPad not charging

I plug the iPad in overnight to charge. This morning I opened it and it was at 54% where it was when I plugged it in. I shut it off then restarted it and it began charging. It stopped at 90% and the message said not charging. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it started charging again. Any ideas about how to fix this?

Could you try another charging cable or charger?

Also, make sure that there’s no fluff/debris in the charge port, but be careful when cleaning it out that you don’t damage it.
