Ipad jumping around like a bean

My ipad has a mind of its own. It has been jumping around from program to program, writing on its own. It is like it lost its mind.

I have reset to manufacturers settings, re-synched, powered on and off, and nothing is working.

What can I do to stop this permanently?

It's possible that your iPad has a defective touchscreen. You should make a Genius appointment at an Apple store to have it checked out. If it is defective it will be covered by the warranty, as well as AppleCare+. Be sure to back up your iPad before going to the Apple store, in case your iPad is exchanged.

If your warranty is expired, the repair cost is about half the cost of a new iPad.
