iPad favorites disappeared - didn't update anything

I got onto my iPad today and all my favorites in Safari were gone. All that was left was the default favorites like Apple and Yahoo!. I didn't do anything and I didn't update anything. Please help.

Edit: I tried favoriting something and it never showed up. I never got anything updated.

Just do a reset...hold down on/off and Home buttons until Apple logo appears. Worked for me and many others.
