Ipad 2 now charges from iphone charger!!??

Sorry if this is old news but I just realised after my wife plugged it into the wrong charger, that it now charges from a standard iPhone charger! It never used to! Is this a fault or does anyone else's do the same?

It should charge, just alot slower than with the iPad adapter.

Didn't know there was any difference. I've lost one, not sure which :-D so have to use the remaining one for both.
