iOS 5 how to close Sygic app ?

Hi All

I am using iPad for GPS.
Before I reach the destination , I like to close my close . So I press home button twice very fast . The app look like close , but the app keep running , by tell me 200 meter turn left.
I am unable figure out how to close the app.
Hope some one can share with me.

In taskbar hold on Sygic icon as long as sign '-' doesn't appear, then press it.
