So, I am currently downloading the beta, got a couple hours. Already have iTunes 10.5 installed. I am so ready. I will post a review of iOS 5 here tomorrow, after I get some time to play with it.

If you already upgraded to the beta, write your review or just your thoughts! :)
Let's give people a preview into what they can expect!

Ok, here is the review!

Installed iOS around 2 and I love it! Not needing a computer is great! Just swipe, select country, sign into icloud, and done! Tried to get it to recognize iTunes and sync over wifi, but it made me connect over USB. You can sync without a cable, but I can't get it to work. I'll try it later.

Icloud. Awesome. 5 gb to do as you wish. Tried to back up to the cloud, but it said it wasnt able to. Ok...... See pic 1. Anyway, gave me a free email address, (whatever)@me.com so still using mobile me stuff. I thought it was going to be like @cloud.com but oh well. Can sync mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, safari bookmarks, photo stream connect, and find my iPhone connect. See pic 2. And it also has the storage and backup options. See pic 3.

Homescreen, see pic 4. You can see messages, reminders, newsstand, and the new music icon. Not much else changed.

Messages. Haven't gotten to play with it yet, but see pic 5. You can see the new keyboard there too.

Reminders, just a simple to do list. Haven't gotten it to work yet. I can't figure out how to make a reminder! See pic 6.

Newsstand, basically download a subscription, and it shows up there. See pic 7.

Music. Totally new look! Cleaner and easier. More room to see your albums. See pic 8.

Notifications! Band new. They don't bother you anymore! On your lockscreen, see pic 9. On any screen just pull down the status bar. See
Pic 10. Haven't gotten a in app one yet but I will try.

That's about all I have found for now. Reply if you have and other things you want to see! :)

Aka, NO questions about how to aquire the beta. iOS betas are available to developers only.

Please be aware of the following forum rule
17. Links to upgrades for BETA software will be deleted. User will receive one warning. A second warning will lead to being banned.

Many users do not have a clue what Beta software is and may try to install it and then come here for help. We have gone through this problem before so please be aware of the rules. What you do in private however is your choice.

The shift and upgrade for iOS 5 isn't working on my iPad. I installed the 4.2 beta on it using the same method before but it seems Apple has disabled this ability. I was given an error code of 3002 from iTunes and the log says that this build doesn't support update function. Was hoping to try the new features like split keyboard and iMessages but can't afford to pay the $99.

You have to have iTunes 10.5 beta which is also only available to developers. This is review thread, not a bother me with questions thread,

Grayson's thread is re-open with this comment regarding Beta, per Admin:

You cannot install beta software without either being a developer or having a developer register your iPad with Apple.

Well, I found a great developer forum with a working list, I posted a thread with a link but it was closed because??.. I have seen so many threads that have been closed and told to not post before searching for other threads of the same topic.. But I search and I search and nothing, yet my thread is closed with a great link to developers disclosing all of the new iOS 5 features.

Attention mods, the search engine on this site SUCKS, try to just let people post and leave the threads alone that are legit are able to help others.

BTW, keep working on your iApp, it crashes non stop.
