iOS 5.0.1 – Anyone else seeing double?

While downloading some apps from the App store on my iPad last night, I noticed a bug. While signing into the App store on my iPad, some icons wouldn’t appear on the home screen while they were downloading, so I swiped back to the first page to select the App store again and noticed a duplicate of the my ‘Find Friends’ App in the top left corner of the screen. I dragged it around and noticed I could move it to wherever I wanted (it wasn’t snapping to grid). All the other apps on my first screen were the same (in a single stack in the top left corner) and I could move them to wherever I wanted. Now, I’m unsure whether this is a glitch in iOS5 or with the App store app itself, so we’ve sent a bug report to Apple. If anyone else has encountered this, please let us know as we’re intrigued! This is definitely a new one on me. I've not seen or heard of this happening before and I don't recall any Members reporting this.

Might be worth rebooting the iPad by switching off and then pressing and holding the Power and Home buttons for about 6-9 seconds until the white Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot.

See if that fixes the problem.

yes it worked fine after a reboot. i wonder if its just a glitch.

I am seeing doubles too!

I had this same problem today, all the app icons stacked in the top left corner, and I could drag them around the screen without them snapping into place. There were shadow icons still on the page, but were unresponsive, only the icons in the stacks were linked to anything.
I rebooted like suggested here and the glitch went away.
