Imessage showing number not contact name

Received an iMessage from a friend and her number s showing instead of her name. I went under contacts in my iPhone 4 s and her number comes up under "all contacts" and not under "all iCloud" I don't understand why some of my contacts have synced while others have not.

I think you have to link the two accounts. At least that's what I had to do. My imessenger uses people's emails so I have to link their email to their contact before their name pops up. Not sure if this is right just what works for me. I'm still figuring stuff out though lol.
